Very secure mount and easy to use

I was skeptical about this mount because I read reviews that the mount was loose. Having installed it on a watch band and bike handlebars, I can confirm this mount is rock solid! When the watch is inserted into the strap or handlebar mounts, the dial snaps into place very gently with a nice click indicating it's locked. It feels very secure while jogging, commuting and swimming. The mount lifts the watch off the wrist by about 4mm (making the large watch even larger), but that's not a big deal.

If you are a cyclist and have a 920XT just buy this item

This item is great. If you're a cyclist and you have a 920XT watch (which still stands as one of the best, albeit ugliest, bike watches), just buy it. You have no idea what you're missing out on if you try to look at your wrist instead of the stem. Garmin's signature rubber straps are fully sketched, but the point is, they work and they're built to last. As other reviewers have pointed out, the quick release adapter that attaches to the back of the watch makes it slightly smaller than theโ€ฆ

Very functional upgrade for your 920XT

A great accessory for your 920XT if you are looking to transition from your wrist to a bike. A quarter turn to take the watch off and put it back on either the strap or the bike mount requires quite a bit of torque, and obviously the watch doesn't accidentally fall out during normal activity (I don't swim to exercise, so I can't). say how sure the watch will float in the crowd). Instructions for changing the strap and installing the bike mount are easy to follow and all tools and equipment areโ€ฆ

Perfect for GPS, finders and accessories

I bought this item to save money instead of buying a bike computer when I already have a Garmin GPS watch to get the job done and more. My bike is a Giant Revolt Select and it is equipped to mount many if not all bike computers without taking up handlebar space. It was ready to use and when this quick release kit arrived it only took me 5 minutes to change the watch band and install the quick release mechanism. I love it! I will include photos to show it installed on my bike and with a watchโ€ฆ

Compatibility issues with other Garmin products

So yes it is high but there is a big issue with product compatibility. I'll try to explain it as best as I can. I planned on taking my Garmin 510 off my Garmin "external bike mount" from time to time and replacing it with a new 920XT for certain Du/Tri situations. But for most applications I wanted to use the more prominent 510. So, assuming both Garmin computers are interchangeable on a Garmin mount, I bought this quick release kit (again, all Garmin products). After installing the quickโ€ฆ

Good product except for one big flaw.

This is a great product except for one thing. Garmin, in their boundless wisdom, took this product's quarter turn mount 90 degrees away from Edge bike computers. So if your handlebar mount doesn't allow you to rotate the mount, this mount will place your watch ON THE SIDE OF THE BIKE. The "ears" on this mount are up and down, compared to left and right on all of Garmin's other quarter turn products. It's just a silly deviation from Garmin's own standard. I have used it with the XLAB Torpedoโ€ฆ
