I was in love with this product until-

I purchased this product just over 7 months ago. To date I have found it to be a very useful and effective fitness bracelet. I would give 4 or 5 stars. Today, however, the group broke up. Without any warning that I know of, the strap on the side of the buckle detached from the main part that holds the actual device. As this is a part, there is nothing I can do to repair or replace the defective part. I had a previous Garmin fitness band that I wore for a long time and passed on to a friend when

The group lasted only four months before disbanding.

I liked the vivosmart 3 band. I used it for running and weight control, just for my daily steps and I wear it almost every hour of the day. But for a product that tracks everything, including sleep, that's waterproof and doesn't have a replaceable band, you'd think it would last more than FOUR months! I really liked the interface both on the watch face and in the application, it is easy to use and allows you to view statistics. I use Strava a lot to share with some friends and my wife while we…

The first day? Updated 11/29/18

First day with Vivosmart3. And at the end of the working day, the clasp disappeared. From what I can see, the clasp's pin is too weak, or the tape is so flexible that it doesn't have enough support to hold it in place where it's puckering. Spoke to Garmin via chat link. There are no interchangeable wristbands for this tracker. I thought I read somewhere that it existed. That was one of the reasons I bought it, but I wanted to go to Garmin because I have a Garmin 520 for cycling. For the last…

this is the first one I definitely don't recommend to anyone

Good. I have 5 Garmin products and I've had problems with some before, but this is the first product that I definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone for the following reason: - After about 3 months of normal use, a loop closing the strap. broken - the strap itself is very fragile, it broke without major accident/violence - NO REPLACEMENT. Just search Revain and Google. So you end up with a useless watch missing a $1 loop or non-existent $5 bracelet. You need to pay 1/3 the cost of the Garmin…

Good features, but heart rate measurements are cumbersome and inaccurate.

This product has many nice features. I bought it mainly because I needed to track my heart rate. Unfortunately, he had two problems in this regard. To see your heart rate, you must first turn it on by flicking your wrist or double-tapping the screen. Then you have to go to the heart rate screen. The screen is active for a few seconds, then turns off and you have to start over. That means stopping mid-workout to see my heart rate, which I wanted to avoid by buying a monitor. Second, the monitor…

Good features but some frustrating crashes

This overview mainly focuses on heart rate functions. I mainly do high-intensity interval training, plyometrics, and functional strength training, and I have a chest heart rate monitor to track these activities since wrist heart rate monitors don't do a very good job. for these activities. I wanted Garmin to track steps and daily heart rate and not have to use a chest strap for every run, walk or other lighter exercise. When comparing Garmin's heart rate to Wahoo when running or walking, Garmin

Not ready for prime time: It will be returned

I used to have a vivosmart HR which I bought mainly because it can be used in the pool. I had the device for about 15 months and its face was badly damaged just from use making it hard to read and the device itself was getting a little buggy (although it still tracked activity well) so I decided to give it a go to replace it with a vivosmart 3. I've had the vivosmart 3 for 4 days now and it's really a big disappointment. I haven't received credit for a minute of intensity yet, even though the…

Nice little activity tracker with below-average build quality.

PROS: Accurate with step counting. Significantly less sensitive than the Fitbit Charge 2. Wearing a Garmin Vivosmart 3 during a 15 minute car ride resulted in an increase of 5-15 steps, while the Charge 2 registered an additional 50-100 steps on the same ride. While not as robust as Fitbit, the app was packed with useful information and could be tweaked and tweaked to see what you want. The silent alarm is a nice feature, as is the low battery indicator. Fast charging, typically 1 hour to fully
