Great boat and cleaning lady.

First used by Garry's Royal Satin Cleaner War last spring it used a creamy paste and pulled on the shine that lasted all summer, fall and winter.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Difficult to say

The best wax for boats!

Great stuff. Have used their aviation wax in the past with great results and was not disappointed with the boat version. Does a great job of bringing old chalk gelcoat back to life without wet sanding etc. Some areas are finished by hand and some with a 6" dual action polisher. Made it a mirror shine. Big fan of this brand!

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Useless features

Wish it worked better but not a bad product

Gives a good shine but actually had to buy an oxidizer to remove all the oxidization. A small amount goes a long way, so don't wait too long to remove it. It is almost impossible to remove if left on too long or applied too thickly. I've used a few of these by hand and with a buffer and have found that the buffer works best if you apply Royal Satin to the pad like buttered toast. This was only good for white gelcoats. Forget using it on anything colored (like red with metal flake boats).

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Longtime cleaning and maintenance user

I've been using Garry's Royal Satin Wax since 2005. I had a Hunter 37.5 sailboat at the time. A yellowish oxide has formed on the white case, which doesn't look very good. So I applied this wax and it was cleared. The product was washed off and maintained a very nice clean appearance throughout the boat. I waxed once a year for the next 6 years with the same results. Nobody likes to do bodywork more than once a year! Now I have a trawler boat and I use Garry's on it. Nearby boats have asked me…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
