I actually tested this unit and YES it covers a broken propane hose. Bought one for my 5th wheel last summer and another for the other tank. This device is one of those devices that I own. 80 dollars. US Dollars (per regulator) is a great investment to keep your family and RV safe and healthy.
The unit is easy to install but when I connect the normal pigtail connection that goes to the regulator it is difficult to put the tank cap back on. The hole in the tank cap is not that big and you have to press the pressure gauge when using it to get the line free. This fits snugly on my lid to reach to depress the pressure gauge. I bought a 20" pigtail jack to see if that would help. Just take a look.
Good product idea and it works but mine was leaking. I upgraded my propane fittings to new ones and it was still leaking away from the tank at the male end. We contacted DPS about their product and told them in detail about the product. After a great conversation and fullβ¦
These days you can't expect much from most companies when it comes to customer service, especially over the internet. I have a trailer with two propane tanks. About 6 months ago I bought a GasStop device and installed it on a tank. A few months ago I bought another one for my second tank. I haven't been working on a van lately and noticed that the latest GasStop unit has a lot of condensation in the dial case. I could barely read the scale. I contacted One Source RV and they offered to removeβ¦
We RV enthusiasts love our propane gas. Attached to the front of our trailer or mounted under our RV, this LPG tank provides power to cook, heat water, cool our fridge and fuel our stove. Life on the street wouldn't be the same without him. But propane can also be dangerous. So we have a propane detector inside to check for leaks and we replace it every five years as needed to ensure we can be notified of the problem. But what about those other, unexpected events that could put us in danger? An
