Just the right hose for my Miata. Old as a type not properly cast, but simply a piece cut to length. As a result, it got too close to the exhaust manifold cover and underside of the valve cover, ending up with a hole. This one will stay away from those hot surfaces. The thickness and shape are perfect for my needs.
Pros
Designed to resist electrochemical degradation, the main cause of hose failure
Fits my '97 Miata perfectly and was easy to fit. Be careful when removing it from the firewall as the pipe can easily bend. If the hose doesn't slide easily, you can also lubricate it enough with some coolant to make it slide. It's a good idea to swap them out if you notice a CAS leak.
Pros
Temperature range: -40 degrees. F to 275 degrees. F (-40Β°C -135Β°C)
I used this on a 1991 Mazda Miata and it worked great. Gates manufactures excellent quality products at affordable prices. I paid less than half of what Mazda wanted. The hose fits perfectly. I was able to reuse the standard zippers as they were still too tight. *** ADVICE. Cut off old hoses, do not pull; Pipes are fragile.***
Pros
Temperature range: -40 degrees. F to 275 degrees. F (-40Β°C -135Β°C)
