Description of Gates 21956 Lower Radiator Hose

Specifically-engineered materials resist collapse under vacuum. Engineered to resist electrochemical degradation, the leading cause of hose failure. Pre-shaped to fit and to ensure perfectly sealed conditions. EPDM tube; synthetic fiber knit reinforcement; heat-, ozone- and chemical coolant-resistant EPDM cover. Meets requirements of SAE 20R4, class D2 and DIN 73411, class A (except for tolerances).

Perfect Automotive Hose

This Lower Radiator Hose is just perfect for my car... As my tests showed, the Gates hose provides a snug fit around my radiator. The material appears to be heavy-duty and built to last. The installation was easy and the hose functions flawlessly. However, i feel the hose is a bit pricey as compared to other options available in the market. Overall, I recommended this hose to anyone looking for a reliable automotive hose..

Quality at a fair price

Gates quality hose at a fair price. I had to trim it a few inches, but it works fine for a Dakota 95 with a V8 engine. Well 6 months later and it looks like it has failed! I hope it was due to the reused clamp and not the material of the hose. Updates when the hose is removed.
