Gates 23578 Molded Coolant Hose: Superior Performance and Durability Review

This hose line came just in time. Perfect fit for my 2013 Dodge Avenger 2.4L. I save a lot of money by buying and installing it myself.

Perfect fit for 2007 Sebring. Easy installation. The hose is made in Turkey and the radiator cap is made in England. Came compression clamps which I used to secure the clamps to the side of the engine and radiator.

Perfect fit. If you need to replace this, you may also need a thermostat. Still, it was just what I needed and works like a charm. Keep the old clips as they are not included.

The upper radiator hose was leaking so I bought a replacement (this one) and I'm glad I did, the one on my car was so brittle it was the closest day the leak broke by itself. This hose was very easy to replace and I love the quality.

I love that this item comes with hoses, filler neck and radiator cap. However, a little over 1 month after installation, the filler neck cracked and started to flow. The radiator cap was also defective and was so tight it was impossible to remove by hand! I don't know why Chrysler didn't make the filler neck out of metal! But it's cheap plastic and breaks easily. Unfortunately the product lasted long enough to exempt me from returning the product for a refund.

MUCH better than OEM construction. The thermostat froze an hour from home while driving home from work one day, cracking the plastic where the filler neck attached to the radiator hose of a 2013 Chrysler 200. It's much better in design and durability, the build quality is better. You can see that when unpacking. The OEM was cheap, poor design, but not like that. It was also cheaper than O'Reilly for the same make and part number, by $50. Also easy and quick replacement. No clips are supplied…

This replacement has held up so far. What I liked was not having to fiddle with clamps on the hose near the radiator cap. The hose is sealed as part of the part, eliminating the need to purchase and install new clamps.

My husband and I are not mechanics as of this nature but it arrived very quickly. I wish I knew that Amazon sells auto parts because we wouldn't go that long without a car with another part, but anyway we replaced it in about an hour and it works great. Also keep your old clips as this one is not included.
