Description of Gates 23814 Coolant Hose

Specifically-engineered materials resist collapse under vacuum. Engineered to resist electrochemical degradation – the leading cause of hose failure. EPDM tube; synthetic fiber knit reinforcement, heat-, ozone- and chemical coolant-resistant EPDM cover. Manufactured with OEM-exact hose components (quick connects, branch connectors/tees, sensors, etc.). Meets SAE 20R3 EC Class D1 under 25mm (1 in.) ID, SAE 20R4 EC Class D1 for 25mm (1 in.) ID and over.

Not Worth It: Coolant Hose

I purchased a hose for my automotive needs that was supposed to be top of the line. Based on my observations the material used for the hose was flimsy and fragile. It broke after a week of usage, leaving me stranded. The hose was definitely not worth the money. .

Invalid Specification: Radiator

I am ordering this product for a 2006 BMW x3. There is an o-ring where it connects to the reservoir, it leaks very badly. NOT GOOD
