Gates 27232 Power Brake Vacuum 11/32 inch x 36 inch Hose (85 PSI) - Enhance SEO Review

I'm not sure what "standard" is because this hose has an inside diameter of 11/32" which is almost 5/16". MOST vacuum hoses from the inlet port to the brake booster check valve are about 15/32"-1/2" in diameter, so I don't really know which hose should fit. Send back today.

Replaced the PVC and transmission coolant hoses and decided to replace the booster vacuum hoses. The old hoses had 11/32 printed on them, so I checked the setup. Do not forget the safety check valve in the old hose, cut it out and insert it in the new hose in the correct position. I also recommend replacing the hose clamps, I used Oetiker clamps for a neater look.

As other reviewers have said the box is clearly marked 11/32 part 27232 The hose is also clearly marked 15/32. I ordered THREE and ALL THREE were the wrong size, 15/32 in a 11/32 box. Now I can't trust a replacement order to be correct either. I meant what I ordered when I needed an 11/32 tube, 15/32 won't fit my car. The quality seems GREAT, but Gates needs to label their packaging accordingly!

Brake vacuum hose OK. It was just mislabeled. The box says "Gates Hose 27232 11/32" which I ordered for my wife's 1991 4Runner. The bag contained a Gates 15/32 hose which was marked as such on the hose and was too large in diameter to fit the 4Runner. Also, a three foot length would be too long to make it work, even if it's the right diameter, which it isn't. Finally, it was easier to just buy a Gates 11/32 brake vacuum hose a foot from O'Reilly.
