Best in Straps disappointed

The first thing I noticed was that the fork wasn't bent at right angles at the end. The tooth has been bent slightly outwards, although it should be perpendicular to the shank. Be that as it may, the belt can slip when the fork is flexed. Instead of going back I have to heat the end and bend it to the right angle.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Very handy when changing belts

Durable, inexpensive, gets the job done. I didn't think this tool would be so useful; Changing my belt in such a small space was tedious enough as with this tool I can't imagine changing my belt without it. Definitely a must have garage item if you're someone who enjoys getting their job done for a fraction of the cost of taking your car to a mechanic or dealer.

Pros
  • Belts, hoses and pulleys
Cons
  • Functionality

Couldn't be worse than using a curved hanger

I've had issues with the belts on my 1990 350SDL for the last few years and ended up having to change them twice where I got stuck (tip: always keep a spare belt in the trunk of a 30 year old car). ). I've used a hanger to thread the strap through the bottom and through the tensioner, both times with less than satisfactory results. It works, but only with a lot of effort and frustration and barely enough time to achieve it. This tool is much longer and fits perfectly in the area where I need to
