Gate's gives peace of mind

I installed this belt on my wife's 2016 Elantra Limited 1.8L. Easiest belt assembly. Took me 10 minutes max including getting my tools out. I've used the Gate brand before and it hasn't let me down yet.

Pros
  • Belt
Cons
  • Reliability

Great quality product at a great price

Can't comment on durability or stretch but my old belt creaked when it was cold and that was annoying. After replacing it with this belt I noticed how stretched my old belt was and it was the original belt on my 13 Elantra at 91k. I bought this for my 2013 A/C Elantra Limited and it fit perfectly and was very easy to change with regular hand tools.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Only available in black

Wrong size, wrong description, bad customer experience.

I checked against my vehicle details and was told it would fit. Found out, removed the old tensioner and belt. The belt turned out to be too short, so I installed the tensioner with the old belt, too bad. Bad customer experience if I was a shop I might order one or have more time but people order parts so they can do the work themselves at home and once your belt is off there is nowhere to go so you have to install what you already have. And who wants to go back and remove belts and tensioners…

Pros
  • Replacement parts
Cons
  • Obsolete model
