🛠️ Gates Engine Timing Belt Kit with Water Pump - TCKWP298 Review

I called our local parts dealer here in town and they wanted double the price I paid and it wasn't included in the full kit. I had to buy parts. It made the task easier and I had it in a short time. My truck is working great and you saved me a lot of money! I will order another one for a family member.

This kit contains ALL the parts needed to properly replace the timing belt. Provided that the camshaft and crankshaft seals are not leaking. Which happens in most cases. You will still need to purchase coolant and gaskets as needed. They are usually sold at local parts stores.

Very happy with this purchase and would recommend to others! I saved almost $100 buying it locally but have peace of mind thanks to the Gates name. In over 20 years in the auto repair industry I have never seen a defective Gates part. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, that would be funny, but I've never seen it!

I waited to write this review until I saw how it was. I've been wearing it for about 4 months and haven't had my first problem yet. The truck drives perfectly. I bought this 2000 Toyota Tundra 5 months ago and the guy already paid $1500 to have everything replaced and do some air conditioning work. After I bought the truck it started to slide a bit. It's hard to tell how good this product is as I've only ridden it about 2000 miles. The product looks high quality. The tensioner that comes with the kit felt a bit cheap but with good tension although it serves its purpose, metal and plastic are a bit inferior to the factory tensioners. Pulleys are factory like, belt appears to be factory or near factory. The water pump, it's hard to say, isn't leaking yet. I wouldn't say the pumps are as good as the factory pumps in comparison (plastic and…
