Do not buy. Big mistake

If one of the jaws slips off the pulley or gear when pulling, it will spring back and fly out of the bracket. Ripped through the drywall in my garage. Luckily didn't get in his way

Extremely dangerous

I bought this and although I'm not a professional mechanic I'm an engineer who loves to fix my BMWs on the weekends. So I bought it for a rear axle bearing that needed to be pulled out and which I had previously used with a 5 ton OTC puller with no problem. With a 5 ton puller, perfectly centered and as stabilized as possible, I began turning the bolt. First impression: a little disappointed

I've been looking for a 'better' puller for a long time - one that is easy to apply and center when pulling. This design by KD Tools seems to be exactly what I was looking for. I haven't had a chance to use it in practice, but my first impression when I took it out of the box was that the ratchet is cheaply made and can easily break or wear out. The device that I received definitely does not run as smoothly as in the manufacturer's promotional video. The 'mechanism' of the ratchet consists of…
