No groove or hole to hold! DO NOT BUY WITHOUT READING!

I absolutely love GearWrench products but they DO NOT have a groove or hole for the latch to keep it from slipping off the crowbar. Stay away!

Beautiful smooth chrome finish - good compatibility

Purchased to replace intermediate brake lines on BMW E39. There's no way to securely attach a wrench or cord wrench to it, so I ordered them. They are comfortable to the touch, have a nice smooth finish and appear to be true to size. Perfect for my work with extension cords. It's not an everyday tool, but it's great for tricky positions.

Fantastic with some modifications

Good quality at a price based on other insanely expensive brands. I have used Gear Wrench tools for locomotive service in the past with good results. The only drawback is the missing recesses to fix it to the ratchet. I installed them on my mill and cut my own with good results. It would probably be fine without them either, but I liked this feature and it only took a few minutes to digest. , I was able to successfully complete the repair I needed it for and I'm happy!

Worth the money compared to the snap on

I have to say I was very skeptical about the reviews of this product before buying it but personally I couldn't be happier. I was originally going to buy a metric and standard set of snap-ons so I appreciated them. To my surprise, I found I would pay about $600 plus some loose change. No matter how I used them, I couldn't justify that dollar amount. So I reached out to Revain and decided to try this kit because the price is so much lower. I've used it a few times on some hard-to-reach lines on…

Gearwrench Crowfoot Wrench Set Purchase

Being somewhat familiar with the Gearwrench brand, a division of Apex Tool Group and knowing that Apex makes Craftsman sockets for Sears, I expected Gearwrench to have quality craftsmanship winged Key. I bought the Gearwrench set instead of the Craftsman set because the Gearwrench set comes with a blow molded case and the Craftsman set comes in a plastic bag and the Craftsman set was more expensive. When I received the set of wrenches I was surprised to see that there was no notch within the…

I was disappointed with the wrench sets

I didn't even break the seal on these. will return them. This was my first Gearwrench purchase. Needed a set of wrenches to complete my tool collection. First, there's no latch to fasten it, but you can see on the case that there is. Ratchet cutout quality is uneven, looks cheap. And they have fingerprints I can see through the packaging. If it was the $20 available at Revain I would skip these things but they are double the price. I expected more from Gearwrench. I want to buy some of their…

You can't go far wrong with the houndstooth pattern

I'm sad that the only 11 piece SAE houndstooth set I could find is so awful. They don't live up to the GearWrench name. First, there are no locking tabs here, and they'll fall out of any extension cord or wrench. Second, the size markings on the crow's feet are engraved (rather than stamped) and the writing is small and dense. In addition to size designations, each product has a "GEARWRENCH" designation and a 5-6 digit model number, all in the same font size. There is no large stamp indicating…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable

I bought these wrenches from Revain at a lower price than a Sears Craftsman set. I expected Gearwrench to be about the same quality as Craftsman. When I received them I was completely satisfied with the purchase except for one. GearWrench Crowsfoot wrenches DO NOT have small notches within the square hole for a ratchet ball detent or extension. This means the Gearwrench Crowfoot will fall out even if you pull on it, even if you have a locking ratchet or locking extension. That totally surprised

My first gearwrench screwed up!

I'm a heavy machinery mechanic and a big fan of gear wrenches. My collection includes Sae/Metrik master wrench set, 120xp flex head ratchet wrenches, 114 piece LG tap and die set, 1/4" socket set, E-torx socket set, 120xp ratchets (all dimensions) and this metric crow's foot. The set. Everything was 5 stars until that crappy crow set came along. They are not made of the same metal as the serrated keys. They are very soft and will bend or scratch the surface of the wrench with too much torque…
