Geekworm Raspberry Pi 4 armor case, aluminum alloy metal case specially designed for the Raspberry Pi 4 Computer Model B (1GB/2GB/4GB/8GB). All ports and slots of the aluminum alloy case can match with Raspberry Pi 4 Model B computer perfectly; Add 2pcs 2x20 Female Headers to extend the GPIO pin and insert GPIO cable. Open case design, don't need to worry about affect wifi signal, it is a good raspberry pi 4 heatsink case with good heat dissaption. Reinforced aluminum material, lightweight and durable, long-lasting stainless. With 3 pieces thermal pads (the thickness is only 0.5mm) to touch the shell body to dissipate heat. You can also use the CPU grease (not included) to get better heat dissipation. The supplied adhesive tape is not thermally conductive!

The "thermal tape" intended to fill the large gap between the case and the chips on the Raspberry Pi is 3M Double Coated Tissue Tape 9448A, is not thermally conductive and should not be used for a thermal sync application. According to the 3M website, "9448A Double Sided Fabric Tape. is a medium hardness acrylic adhesive system with both high initial tack and good retention at high temperatures. and] foam bonding. Works very well but could be improved!

These heatsinks do the job, but it can be MUCH improved. The heatsink is built with a 1/16 inch gap between the processor, memory and NIC chipset. This gap should be filled with the supplied radiator gasket, but this is NOT optimal! I understand that it's extremely difficult to cut every heatsink to perfectly fit every single Pi, but the main improvement would be to get the metal in contact with the chips. Aluminum case ideal for passive cooling of an RPi4B

I bought this case to replace a fan case I bought a year ago. The fan was already making noise (bearing already broken?), so I wanted a case with passive cooling. This one works fine! Cool feel-good case

It is very easy to assemble, fits very snugly and cools better than a small fan. The Wi-Fi signal is strong - all signal bars are lit. I have two Pi 4s - one in a plastic case with a fan (made by Canakit) and this one. The Armor case looks very sharp and gives the Pi a very solid look with some extra weight to keep the Pi from moving around so easily. Two GPIO extenders are provided, which is a nice touch. .EDIT: Here's some info on thermal data points after using this case for a few days…

If you feel the blue thermal tape isn't good enough at dissipating heat, you can replace it with a thin 0.5mm silicone lubricated copper heatsink match (Shin-Etsu Shin-tsu X-23-7921- 5 is recommended) replace to make it better heat dissipation.
