Aluminum case ideal for passive cooling of an RPi4B

I bought this case to replace a fan case I bought a year ago. The fan was already making noise (bearing already broken?), so I wanted a case with passive cooling. This one works fine! It consists of a two-piece aluminum case with external "fins" for heat dissipation and three "protrusions" inside the case with components used for contact with the CPU, GPU and my guess the USB controller (smaller third chip ) are determined ) . near the GPU). I ordered double sided tape in the kit but I didn't need it as there were three pieces in the kit. I attached them to the ledges of the case and assembled the case. This was very easy as the four screws came with an Allen key to tighten them (why not just use Phillips heads?). The only downside I would give this case is that the "adhesive tape" didn't really stick, so I had to be careful putting the aluminum case back in place to keep the pieces from falling off. It's not that hard to do. They are present and in contact with both the case and the microcircuits they are designed to protect. And it works, as the case is warm to the touch when playing YouTube videos in full-screen HD, so it gets the job done. (maximum CPU temperature 52 °C)

Pros
  • Reinforced aluminum material, light and strong, durable stainless steel
Cons
  • Outdated
