I've only had them for a few weeks, but I like them a lot better than a pocket comb. I used them when I was young and I remember using them back then and really liking them. I can't tell how well they will hold up from seeing other reviews of the finger loop breaking, but who cares about the price. I have no questions about how they feel on the scalp. I have read other reviews that they are too sharp and not soft enough. I prefer the massaging effect on the scalp and my hair isn't the thickest.

UPDATE 10/16: I prefer smaller finger holes to a wider palm. The palm grip breaks fairly easily. The small finger hole takes a little getting used to, especially if you have thicker fingers, but with a bit of work they actually get tighter. Very comfortable because these tassels are so flat and flexible that they don't break, so I keep two of them in one of my pants or shorts back pockets can wear without problems or discomfort.
