General Pencil 4400-12A General's Pastel Chalk Pencils: 12 Vibrant Colors for Various Art Projects Review

These pencils are really good quality, especially compared to others I've bought. Each pencil has its own eraser and comes with a sharpener. Note that the colors are not very bright. I've used them on a board and they're a little muted but other than that I'd recommend them. Too bad they didn't make a "neon" set!

The sharpness and hardness of chalk pastel pencils are ideal for drawing detail. They blend colors effortlessly and magically, while erasing them well with the eraser at the end of each pen. You opened up a whole new world of art for me! It's nice to hold a piece of wooden pencil so that there are no pigments on your fingers. I just wish the pens had a nicer stand. This one is plastic and you need to pull the pencil out of the back of the plastic holder so you don't damage the tip of the pencil

I love these pens! I bought this pack to add the colors I use most to the colors I already have. They are cool. As with all chalk crayons, you will have dust, but these crayons have less dust than some others. I like that they have an eraser so it's easy to use. I use the manual sharpener that comes with my pencils and it works great. If you're careful you can get a sharp enough point to do even the smallest things, like the eyes in my photos. Considering the price of these pens and the rave reviews I was sure I would enjoy when I ordered them. Unfortunately I was wrong. I will say these are nice colors but that means nothing given the main issue I have with these pens. they keep breaking! I've never had pencils (including other pastels) that fragile.
