So far, so good. fits sensors

I was concerned they weren't Ford phasers because of the $159.99 price tag, but they were (now more expensive). Installed them on 10/18/19 along with a new timing kit / Ford magneto / HV oil pump. It's now 11/14/19 and they're still quiet and running fine. So far, so good. If I encounter any problems I will post them. updated 04/24/20. With these components, the truck still runs well after many kilometers. I also recommend using 5W30 instead of the recommended Ford 5W20. Much luck.

Complete timing rebuild, helped

I did a complete timing rebuild on an '06 F150 and spent $1400 on guides, chains, oil pump, VCT solenoids, phasers and even cams. On the first phaser I installed I wiped the grease off thinking it was epoxy out of the box, this phaser didn't work on startup, on the other I left the grease and it worked fine. I got so tired that when it took me 10 months to get 9 mpg with no torque, I just locked out the phasers and drove them. $160 and after 2 hours it's working better than when I bought it 5…

Always use factory phase shifters on 5.4

Ordered these to 'touch up' a job the guy just finished. He used to do timing and used Dorman parts. A month later the phase cutter fell apart and the timing chain snapped. Luckily none of the valves were bent. If you are replacing timing components on your 5.4 I recommend the factory cam phasors, Melling HV pump, Cloye's timing kit and regulator, and FelPro gaskets. It's definitely a lot of work and you can change the pump without dropping the sump, but the bottom bolt on the intake manifold…

Only time will tell. However, the seller clearly implies that this cam phaser is a genuine OEM part. The phaser image looks like real authentic phasers. (Exact tone and color of the original OEM part.) However, the phaser you get is bright silver, shiny, and looks just like all the other cheap imitations that sell for half what I paid for them . It doesn't even have a part number or license plate. Maybe my expectations are too high. but these phasers have nothing real. Obviously, I fell for…

Part works but shame about the Ford design

First, they work. These are genuine Ford products. From someone who has worked on cars about a dozen times, I would like to say that if you suffer from the inevitable failure of the phase shifters in a 5.4 liter Ford 3V engine, you need genuine parts. My point is that there is no reason they should cost more than $220 for a phaser unit. Ford keeps you on the run and can charge that much due to its own flawed design of 5.4-litre engines where these parts are very, very prone to failure. If…
