This is the most redesigned driver side valve cover for the GMT800. It has a built in PCV valve so you don't need a new one. The kit includes an ACDelco valve cover gasket which is much thicker and nicer than the Felpro Permatex gasket I bought. The design differences between this and the old one are obvious. I have a 2010 Chevy Silverado with a 5.3L Vortec engine and this rocker cover didn't work because it had a different connection for crankcase ventilation tubes. to (see figure). FYI, the correct one I needed was part number 264-969, valve cover driver's side Dorman 264-969. I've fitted this valve cover for about 1000 miles. I checked at 500 miles and couldn't tell if the oil had dropped. Just got back from another 500 mile freeway ride and still can't tell if the oil has burned out. At the top of the pound signs! I used to burn about a quarter per 1500 miles.
