Do not buy from aftermarket, use genuine Mazda filter cover part and tool. I installed the porter's cap and the carving lines didn't move. I ended up damaging the doorman's cap and then leaking within a week. Got the original Mazda cover and tools and it was foolproof, plus the idea that this thing doesn't come loose in the middle of the commute to work.

My original cap broke and I replaced it with a DORMAN (917004) which did not close properly and leaked oil onto the road. (Note: my 2005 2.3L Mazda3 with over 200,000 miles is NOT leaking ANYTHING so I was concerned when I saw this). I bought this OEM cap and it fits snugly like the original, no more oil dripping. Buy this and save yourself the trouble. I was new to this seller (online parts store) on Revain. If I need OEM parts I will order from them again!
