Butt Kicks, may be overkill for hot tub boosters or INSTANT HOT BATH,

First I have to say that you don't sit in the water with this wire. Yes, it probably won't kill you, but it might. That thing gives off a lot of heat. Maybe 5 hours in a 300 gallon soak (in a submerged bucket) raised it from 103 to 123, heating 300 gallons (not 5). So let's say you want to go from 100 degrees (default for softtub) to 104 degrees (1 more than softtub). The best estimate is that it will take less than an hour. Bought a thermostat. But so far it's repeated. Probably not enoughโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Thermostat and Auto Shut Off - Stainless steel center tube includes thermal overload circuit breaker when water reaches a certain temperature (approximately 180-194 degrees Fahrenheit), immersion heater for water can automatically turn on - and turned off to maintain water temperature. It will not overheat and save energy. Dry burning will automatically turn off the power to prevent fire.
Cons
  • The list will be long.

AT LEAST 30 minutes Best in water heaters and replacement parts

Recently bought two of these units and have been heating water in 5 gallon buckets all day. I heated at least 10 buckets in a row. The initial temp was 70F and after 30 minutes the temp was 150F. It's certainly NOT in minutes like the gauges suggest. It warms up the water and I'm sure if I had the patience the temperature would rise even higher. The other downside is that you can't submerge the handle of the device, which I think is a total failure. I seriously mean how much extra cost it would

Pros
  • Easy to use - submerge in water to the correct height. Plug it into a grounded outlet. Check the power indicator in the plug to make sure the water bucket heater is on. then the portable water heater starts to work. Warning: The cord and handle must not be submerged in water.
Cons
  • Low repairability

This product update

I downgraded this product because of an issue and the nature of the issue. After 8 uses the plastic case with the cable connections and probably the thermostat fell apart. it didn't melt, it literally turned into a scaly material and just fell apart. It was used as intended. The casting materials and body material used are clearly of poor quality and not suitable for the application. I bought it to heat water for mixing borax. That works great. I heat water from 42 to 150 F, often in a high pHโ€ฆ

Pros
  • UL listed for US safety standards, 12 months warranty. Package includes: 1 bucket heater + manual.
