Works well with small glitches

This is a good board with a great BIOS that makes setup and configuration very easy. The software in the operating system is as bad as everyone says, and while it's easy to set up the LEDs the way you want them, there are minor annoyances: they don't integrate well with other software and LED packages, and the board always starts with the default orange color of the LEDs during charging. Additionally, PCI slots are constantly waking up the system and there is no way to prevent this. My…

DOA - again. for computer components

I don't consider myself an expert, but I'm definitely not a beginner. I've done about 10 builds and have NEVER had this type of problem. When I opened the box, I realized something was wrong. I could see fingerprints on the sticky side of the tape holding the anti-static bag together. It was a used board. Someone else brought it back. But I thought I'd try. Unfortunately, apart from the internal graphics, everything worked perfectly. I don't overclock and I don't need an overpriced GPU. I just…

Awesome motherboard

After researching three major motherboard brands (Asus, MSI, Gigabyte), I settled on the Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro WiFi board for my Intel i7 -8700K. I was looking for specific features including a Wi-Fi board with the latest M.2 NVMe technology, not too much light. So far I am very happy with this board as I wanted to use a Samsung 970 EVO 500Gb M.2 NVMe SSD. And while the flash drive works without problems with the installed Windows 10. The board immediately recognized the flash drive without…

Boot problems, below zero stars if possible

I installed a 9th generation Intel Core i5 9400F on this board. It boots fine, all drivers are loaded. (65W) to 50 to see what frequency the processor is running at. In theory it should work fine even at 50 watts, but now my computer is stuck in an endless boot loop. I've tried resetting the CMOS, even taking out the battery, and shorting the connectors for 30 seconds to no avail :(So I rebooted 2 more. Both were stuck in an endless boot loop from the start. 100% error from 3 Boards? I can only

DOES NOT SUPPORT 9th Gen out of the box

This board CAN be great and really does whatever you need to add new things to it. It's got plenty of ports, the RGB is good without being over the top and it's pretty easy to figure out where everything should be. Problems: A small problem is that the board doesn't come with a pre-installed motherboard speaker. It's not usually a big deal, and it's very cheap to get one when you need one (it's not a speaker you'd use for gaming or anything, but to diagnose the motherboard yourself). Still, it…

Lots of bells and whistles for Windows 10, doesn't work with Windows 7

Using this motherboard is like using a little Lear Jet to go a mile down the road. That gets you there, but there are so many extra buttons and switches to press to make it work, it can be very intimidating. And also. It's like having a brand new dashboard full of hidden and confusing menu items set to use 2018 engines, but you have a 2014 model. They just don't see tools. Immediately, this mobo doesn't "see" any of my SATA drives. Neither HDD nor SDD. I saw a BluRay reader/writer. However…

Item appears new but box has been opened.

First of all, this is not a complete review, I just want to say right away. The box it came in was unsealed. In fact, it wasn't even sealed with tape, and corrosion is visible on the VRMs. The Gigabyte MB box came in a larger box from Revain along with a few other boxes. Not only was the box containing the Gigabyte product opened and not sealed or sealed in any way, it appeared to have been opened and closed multiple times as you can see from the wear on the box in my picture. All parts and…

Best value for your hard earned money

Background: I have been in IT for 24 years; My early years were in a small shop making personal computers in the 90's. I'm upgrading about every five years at this point and for the first time in a long while the competition in the market has resulted in worthwhile improvements so I went shopping to upgrade my Core i7-4790K system and settled on an Intel i9 9900K because I found a bargain. I've used motherboards from most major manufacturers (Gigabyte, MSI, ASUS, Asrock); I've looked through…
