I tried on the Helios helmet at my local sporting goods store and fell in love with it immediately. Amazing comfort, easy fit adjustment and stylish looks make this helmet worth every penny. My old helmet always left dents on my head. Not this one. It's more money than your average helmet, but you can't rate the safety.

Like all Giro helmets I've tried on, this one fits exceptionally well. While I like the ball-and-socket MIPS integration, I'm not interested in testing if it works any better than the "more traditional" MIPS insert found in older or less expensive helmets. Wanted a black helmet but for visibility I compared Kask Protone with red inserts and Giro Helios Spherical with red and white inserts. The Giro was lighter, even more minimalist, with sparse padding, lightweight straps, and a buckle. It was returned because the white paint applied to the crossing elements, not the one shown on the web, made me look like horns and the buckle was very difficult to close and release.
