Works great as expected

I like this product, needs some setup and after a few tries I was able to run the ilearn program, I use it in combination with the Fusion command and iViewer 4 on my iPhone / iPad to control entertainment system and sound throughout the home. The only problem is that I've never gotten PoE to work, for that I have to plug it into an outlet for it to work.

Connected to my Fibaro Smart Home System

Great and easy installation. The help documentation is written in an easy-to-understand manner. So I was able to implement my smart home scene quickly and easily. I really recommend this little box to anyone looking for a great and more flexible solution or an alternative to other IR products. It has more reach with scripts. In my case I can now start my Playstation 4 with the controller and the power relay triggers the iTech IR signal over Ethernet to start the Epson Beamer TW-9200.

Great product but poor documentation

I'm a techie so using the product wasn't a problem. The documentation is very poor and I had to google and experiment with instructions. I'm still tinkering, but I'm very satisfied. I bought a POE box so my POE switch would provide power. This eliminates the need for another power supply next to my entertainment equipment. The IR blaster was supposed to take care of all my gear, but it comes with 3 IR emitters that need to be plugged right in front of the IR port on the device. You can use 3…

Very easy setup with Roomie

Very easy DHCP setup without entering a password. I used mine with the Roomie iOS app. It was automatically detected. Comes with 3 IR emitters and 1 blaster. PoE is great. I wish more things would use PoE. For those unsure, you will need a PoE (Power over Ethernet) network switch or power injector to use this feature.

Happy with this unit does what it says on the tin

Works very well. We wrote a small AutoIt application so that it can be compiled into a portable EXE file. Our application "interrupts" IR commands directly over TCP, just like the iLean utility does when you click the "Send IR" button. (You can get this from the Global Cache website) I used Wireshark to see what it's sending over the network to reproduce this behavior, it's pretty simple. We recorded the commands using the ILearn utility, pointed our remote at the reset button hole, and…

GREAT! Network transceiver

This device is very smooth! Do not point the remote halfway between devices and leave it there until the code has finished transmitting. I press a key or macro and everything happens! I haven't found where to control the device from home without opening a hole in my firewall. I use IRule, it was difficult to learn, but many tutorials and FAQ shows that this remote control is very functional. I don't currently use PoE as I use the included USB power adapter which was a pleasant surprise. You…
