Looks really pretty! This lamp creates such a beautiful atmosphere directly above the dining table. Not sure if I will use it as a ceiling light as the main light in the room as the sides of the lampshade form a block. So the light is very centralized. This is great decorative lighting for a dining room. I will say that the ceiling rose that the lamp comes with was very small. I had to buy a larger one, so the one installed/pictured is not the one that came with the backlight. I bought a 5 1/4"

I bought this to decorate my very small apartment. In this price range I was willing to pay rent for the property. Probably not something I would use in my own house. I bought one with a cord so I didn't have to plug in the electricity and hung it over my kitchen island that used to be a dark place. Looks great. After some effort and white painting, everything worked out. At the very bottom of the cup, which is attached to the ceiling, there is an eyelet through which the wire is fed. A set screw is used to secure the wire and prevent the lamp from pulling the wire out of the cap. They also had a simple knot on a wire above the cup which was fine. I had to shorten the wire for our application, but the plastic screw would not remove. I've tried both metric and inch hex wrenches. Whoever fits in slips…
