OK. They are not anodized or powder coated. I'm guessing maybe varnished. I wore them on my car for twenty eight weeks and they all faded from black to brass. So it is NOT heat cured in the oven. Don't expect them to stay black. JUST SAYING.

Don't buy this! The caps corroded my valve stems and wouldn't come off by hand. I had to use a propane torch to heat the lids and use tongs to pry them off. You can damage the valve stems and have to pay the shop to replace them. waste of money. There is no return, the seller is not liable. Take plastic caps!

Terrible. If you need a tire valve, they're fine. If you want "BLACK" tire valves they are horrible as they arrived in black and now a month later all four colors are nice shiny brass. Note the picture and how well the brass valve matches the black rim and tire! Good! Exactly what I wanted when I bought the BLACK. e. BRASS valve cover!

These valve stem caps should be priced at -93.94 which is the cost of replacing four valve stems and TPMS sensors. Also, I wasted over two hours waiting for the stems to be changed. Covers corroded the valve stem and "welded" to the stem. They could not be removed even with penetrating oil. These caps had to be machined to prevent contact between the aluminum and the brass of the shank end. As you can see, I don't want to buy anything from Godeson anymore.

They looked beautiful when they arrived but quickly faded and turned a brownish gold in less than 2 months. Save money and look elsewhere. They look exactly like the photos above. And they are well made. Inside is a rubber gasket to seal the valve stem. You don't really need this as Schrader valves are pretty explosion proof to begin with, but they are there to make the valve even safer. I use them on a bike with long valve stems. They sit low on them to cover most of the stem. They sit much lower on the stem than standard plastic caps. This makes them appear more robust. The thread fits perfectly with the valves.
