Can't tell which driver to install

I have a dual monitor configuration - menu pops up in the middle - can't read which item to select. When I photographed the menu, it had nothing to do with the actual product, the "Parallel Port Expansion Card". The manual consists of 3 lines of text ending with the words "Choose: Assigned IC for Drivers". In addition, I've tried several drivers and haven't found any that make this work.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Some deficiencies

How to install the driver

Go to the WCH351Q directory and run CH35XDRV.EXE. Leave the Card Type as Automatic Card Identification and click the Install Driver button. I hope this helps someone.

  • Price
Cons
  • Without insurance

Get one that works with Windows 10

Will not install on a PC running Windows 10 Professional. The included driver CD contains several folders and does not contain instructions on how to download the drivers. I selected Windows to search for the correct driver and when I point to the CD that came with this board it appears the driver is loaded and is showing correctly in Device Manager. When installing the Epson drivers, which I do several times a week when installing retail POS systems with this printer, the printer port could…

Works with Mach 3 for I/O port cards

This card is easy to insert, has thin line and full size plates for different tower sizes and driver disk. As others have said, you need to go into your hardware settings and find the I/O address. Once you've added this to your port #1 address block, you're done. This card outputs a solid 5V, so there is no problem here. I used a recent .XML file to transfer my settings to a 'new' computer I bought and used a multimeter to test my outputs (that's how I know it's definitely 5V ) to ensure Mach 3

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

Linux support is terrible/nonexistent

***EDIT: After I've calmed down. The item description doesn't mention Linux support, so giving it a bad review is very unfair. But if a buyer hopes it will support Linux, be aware that it doesn't. I knew I was in danger of getting drivers/support. The driver CD contains the Linux drivers. There are many subfolders to look in, but if you look at the PCI card, the main chip says CH351Q. In Driver/WCH/ I see a subfolder for CH35XDRV. Looks promising. In this folder you will see DRV_1PA, DRV_1PB…

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Legacy model

After reading the reviews I expected that installing drivers on my old XP machine that controls my CNC via parallel ports with Mach3 would be difficult. You have an inkling that you have a parallel card and you know the name of the driver's chipset, but I imagine this will make a lot of people give up. I got lucky though and was able to complete the installation after about 3 tries and 15 minutes of fiddling. The I/O address is not "default" and I had to change the assigned port from LPT3 to…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Poor

Does not work with Windows 7 64-bit

WARNING: Does not work with Windows 7 64-bit Tried all folders on the supplied disc, nothing worked. The old CNC controller failed so I bought a used computer with Windows 7 64. The description didn't say it was 32-bit or 64-bit, so I figured it had drivers for both. Guilty. Came back and went with Tormach's Path Pilot for my specific situation.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Fits
