Fantastic product! I bought this bath to craft bases for Guild Ball and Warmachine/Hordes. I wanted to make a cracked/damaged earth base and after applying the paste and curing for a few days I was left with very well detailed cracks and fissures. The product is very easy to work with - I cannot recommend it highly enough. Don't waste your time with Crackle Medium or Crackle Colors that require multiple applications, Golden Gel Mediums Crackle Paste is just what you need.

I use this crackle paste in many of my mixed media texture panels. I love that you can vary the depth of the crackle to create different effects. I apply it from a jar, let it dry and then paint. The paint seeps into the cracks. I use paints of different viscosities and applicators (from brushes to sponges) to paint over the dried craquelure surface. I love this material! Demanding in surface preparation. Best results are obtained when this paste is applied to a matte substrate such as plaster or matte acrylic paint. It doesn't show the color underneath. So if you are looking for this type of cracked icing, this is not the product for you. I frosted the dried crackle paste where the thin frosting fills in the cracks and it's absolutely beautiful.
