🐾 Gooby Freedom Harness II: Choke Free Mesh Harness for Small Dogs with Microsuede Straps - Lime, X-Large Review

The harness is really good and the girth measurements are accurate but the head/chest opening is very large and while the harness is great for walking it shouldn't be on a 5th -pound Chihuahua as they have a narrow chest and the dog can get his mouth under the neck/chest opening and chew quickly.

This harness is perfect for my 7.5 lb Chihuahua. She has worn over 7 other models and this is by far the best! No more coughing or choking! The medium size is perfect when adjusted all the way down (doubling the softness around her breasts). I prefer the D-ring on the back for security reasons. When I need to pull her up quickly in my arms (by an aggressive dog or the occasional coyote), she doesn't slip around her neck or hang upside down, but instead hangs from straps around her chest behind…

First I want to say that this is a very good quality. I ordered purple and the color is exactly as shown. Also ordered a leash from the same seller and they fit perfectly. My Cavalier King Charles is 4.8 pounds and the XS size was too tight. I returned it and ordered the small one which fit but the area closest to her neck is a bit loose. Still works fine. Just received this harness. Put it on my dog, adjust the side straps a bit and it fits perfectly. The quality is very good. I just hope the mesh weave doesn't come loose from the suede finish like some other reviewers have mentioned. Perhaps the jerking problem is related to "stronger" and larger dogs actually pulling on the leash. The time will show. This is a review of the Choke Free Freedom Mesh Harness. I was taking care of a neighbor and he uses this harness for his dog. It's similar to the Easy Walk harness I use on my larger Standard Poodle. The main difference is that there is soft mesh around the neck rather than the simple nylon straps used on the Easy Walk.
