I have a 5 liter stand mixer (the bowl lifts up under the mixing head unlike the tilt head model). It looks like a great design but doesn't match the K5ss bowl. This fact should be noted in the product description, which simply states that it is suitable for 5 liter bowls.

Very satisfied. As previous reviewers have said, the small door is so tiny it can only be used to pour liquid from a funnel, so not great for eggs or pantry produce. But it fits perfectly in my Artisan's 5 liter metal bowl, with a slight gap where the two pieces join. There's a lot less clutter in the kitchen now!

This product is GREAT compared to the KitchenAid splatter guard which only fits on the bowl. This product is actually attached to the bowl and comes in three pieces. However. Even though the box and description says it fits in a KitchenAid 5L bowl, it was even close to my size. I have a KitchenAid Professional 5 Plus, model KV25G0XSL and as you can see in the photo the lid falls into the bowl. I wish it was a little bigger to fit in my bowl. Love this product, it's well made and I love how it snaps onto the bowl. Years ago I bought a protective case from Kitchen Aid but it didn't last. I couldn't wait for it to get to me BUT SO disappointed it didn't fit my blender. I can get one side fine but the other half is a bit big. I emailed Axis and he emailed me. just back. The idea behind this splash guard is really good. Annoying when the blender throws the ingredients out of the bowl. It only has two downsides. The feed opening is too small for normal use. It would have been better if the sides of the hole were flared so I could add ingredients without fear of spilling them around the hole. I got this because the Kitchenaid OEM splash guard has at least a couple of fixed holes that aren't easy to close. This is somewhat problematic for butter production, for example. I had already concluded that using it as a "sealed storage container" would be a bit of a stretch. Even with the best fit, the joints could hardly be remotely airtight.
