🦉 Optimal Nighttime Bird Cage Cover Review

This item was supposed to have a handle on top, which it didn't. I got (as others have reported) a cheaper and less expensive version that doesn't dim anything at all. It's worn in places, cheaply made and doesn't really cover all sides of the cage properly. I requested a refund as soon as I unpacked it and 3 weeks later I'm still waiting for an answer as to why I haven't received a refund yet even though they have the returned item.

I have the largest cage that will fit in this case and it fits. It looks a bit see-through, but that doesn't bother my budgies. The only thing I don't like is the loose flap on the front of the cage - it can't be attached to the rest of the cover (snaps? velcro? drawstrings?) giving my cat easy access to look inside the head and scare my budgies! I solved this problem by putting it on backwards and then tying a long elastic string around the bottom. Thus, the sash faces the wall and is fixed…

This cover is easier than opening and closing a piano cover. I hate adjusting the piano dust cover and it's awkward to store. On the other hand, this cage cover is easy to put on and take off and fits up to the letter T on the Hendryx F050 cage. There are two wide finger holes on the top of the cover. I place loopholes at the top of the cage, line up the front flap, and it's easy to access from there. I've been practicing putting it on and taking it off so as not to scare the bird that arrives…

I placed a 36 inch 3 channel programmable aquarium LED strip on top of my PH F050 cage and put this cover on everything including the 2 external automatic seed feeders and 2 water dispensers as well the true front panel is not perfectly aligned with the rest of the lid to create a perfect light blocking gasket overlap, this is very easy to fix!
