The instructions state NOT to use any lubricant (including PAM or olive oil). The instructions also say to cook over low heat and DO NOT use sharp objects. I bought this for hiking and cycling as it's smaller and lighter than those sold for that purpose. It was the easiest thing I could find on Amazon. Used it a few times over a gas flame and it worked well. Just pancakes, eggs and spam. Lightly fried vegetables. I use some oil and am very careful not to burn it because cleaning up in the woods is a pain. It's a luxury item, not a necessity for me, but I'm sure some of my friends will want it when I go out with a group again. Very happy with it…

This review seems to be a mixed bag - both the 5" and 10" screens led me to this review, but rest assured I'll win ! The 10 inch pot with lid is my wife's favorite. It's very light (aluminum) and the walls are high enough for you to "flip" food wok style. There's nothing "wrong" with this 5 inch pan, it works well but is as small as it looks (an egg).
