Cheap, fast, easy to solder

I spent some time weighing this sensor or a more expensive fruit sensor but as I needed the smallest sensor for my project I decided to go to give this one. It arrived on time, the connectors soldered easily, and using the sample code from Pololu's Arduino library, I was glad it all worked the first time. You can ignore 2 wires for many applications - XSHUT and GPIO are not needed for basic examples. Another nice thing for me is that the mounting holes are big enough for standard nylonโ€ฆ

Wonderful! Compatible with Adafruit VL53L0X Library

I am currently using this in a NodeMCU project using the Arduino IDE with the Adafruit VL53L0X library. It works great and requires minimal setup - just use Adafruit's instructions and the standard I2C port on the device you're using. They also have a great Python library (Adafruit Blinka) if you want to use a Raspberry Pi, but they don't support Tinkerboard and many other Linux single-board computers, so be careful. Support for your board could be added and advanced users could do itโ€ฆ

Works well/something like Rant

This is a pretty decent VL53L0X board and the level offset is nice compared to previous breakouts for this particular chipset/family (don't worry about logic level 2.7V <- > 3.3V). Bought about four as I was able to expedite delivery through Prime and they all worked and gave good readings. At least one other review posted here says it works with the Adafruit VL53L0X library, and I'm pretty sure it does (I've been working on another embedded system and provided my own), but pleaseโ€ฆ
