Great idea, but it really didn't work. Nuts "under the rail" did not catch on the brackets like they did at the factory. This made it very difficult to screw the thumbscrews into the nuts under the rails. I realized that I don't really need the thumbscrews to hold or remove the top as I only plan on removing/installing the top in my own driveway.

if you read the description and even look at all the pictures, you can see that these nuts are screwed into the factory ones. It's the wrong thread pitch, and why would you remove the factory nuts to fiddle around and try to secure the stamped steel nut that comes with it? I'm sending mine back. Great product, easy replacement, only problem (actually my fault for not checking it first) is that it comes with 6 pieces and 8 hold the top of my YJ. I don't know about other models, maybe TJ only has 6 but now that means I have to buy another pack and have 4 spares. That also means that until I get them, my top still needs a screwdriver to loosen the last 2 screws. Small thing, again my fault for not checking but if you want to advertise a car as compatible you should warn people they need 2

I wish I'd spent a little more on their best quick release. I tried to save a dollar and lost. These quick connectors are too flimsy and it actually hurts me to tighten the bolts with my fingers. D-ring ties are cheap ties that everyone adds with their tops or screws. I can tell you I can remove factory bolts faster than these with a ratchet. I also don't feel like I can put them on tight enough because they are so small you can barely grab them. They really look different than what they look…
