Disappoints best in compact radios and stereos

The only thing I really wanted this radio clock for was the time the radio portion would have been just a bonus. I have read the instructions and the time is not adjustable. I am not a drug addict. You hold down a button, or you set the hours or minutes. It's only $8, so I lose $8. To send it back I have to risk going to the UPS store and scanning the code. I have to make an appointment, so I just give up.

The battery part does not work.

I got this because the utility company in my area is terrible at trimming down branches which means we have frequent power outages. because it doesn't work without a power cable. Oh, and by the way, there's a card in the box that says you can win a gift card if you leave them a review. The provided website redirects you to porn. I'm 100% serious. This is funny.

The perfect clock radio!

Love love LOVE this alarm clock! I've been looking for the perfect clock radio that isn't too bright and has a decent sound and this fits the bill in every way. It has two snooze alarms so I can set one alarm for my normal daily wake up and another for the weekend so I don't have to reset my weekday alarm. It has good reception so I can wake up to my favorite radio station. It's a good size, not too big so it fits my headboard. It has battery backup so you don't lose your settings (or miss a…

Easy to use, cheap as I expected

Okay, I had to figure it out a bit, but I didn't need any guidance. It's pretty easy to use. Radio reception is very poor initially, but don't be discouraged. You can stick a pin in the wall about three feet above the alarm clock, run the antenna up the wall, and wrap the end around the pin a few times. It is also recommended to attach it to a coat hanger which you then hang up, or to a piece of aluminum foil. There are ways to hide these settings so your space doesn't look cluttered. ;) I…

Some rubbish

I bought this clock/radio to listen to music for my pet birds when I'm not around. The radio doesn't play. He just lies dead in the water. The box was slightly damaged and was sent in a bubble envelope. For a box of electronics you would think it would be better packaged. I had to wonder if the item was a return as the valve on the box was open and loose and not new. The radio itself was just in a small pimply envelope that was open on one side. I extended the antenna cable and walked the unit…

This is closest to what we "used to be "

I've spent way too much time researching clock radios to finally find what I was looking for. This is the best I can find and it works great. In the 1980s, we could walk into any store and pick up an alarm clock radio without thinking, and it worked. It's hard to find an "alarm clock on the radio" these days - it seems that even alarm clocks that come with a radio only wake you up with a buzzer. Then there's the volume issue - I found one that I thought might work, but reviewers complained that

Cheap is cheap, the best in compact radios and stereos

You get what you pay for. I bought this not expecting amazing or even good sound. This is a direct replacement for the older brother of this model which I probably bought more than 5 years ago and kept in the bathroom to catch the news on my morning commute. I'm glad to see that they've updated the buttons for this device, as on the older model the buttons weren't separated by physical spaces, so over time if you wanted to set the time, for example by pressing the hour button, you would would…

Overall great product

Ok. First let me say that overall this is a great product. I can't believe I'm saying this with all that has gone into obtaining this item. I won't elaborate further on that other than to say that the Revain reps are 5 stars overall. At first glance, however, this radio appears light. In terms of sound, however, the GPX brand does not disappoint. And if you think about it, the light weight is a plus for turning off your bedside alarm. I recommend putting a non-slip pad underneath in case it…

Great clock radio for the tech savvy Sapiens

5/24/2018 I really should have edited this review a year ago. Thing is, I bought another one from a store that has a 30-day no-questions-asked return policy. The program on it was different from what I originally described below. It worked much better, but a year later it broke just as badly - the speaker failed. These things aren't made to last, folks. You know when American goods were really made in the USA it was common for a radio to last 10-15 or even 20 years! In fact, there's a 1991 Sony
