I am giving 4 stars generously. This really should be 3 stars depending on your mood when trying to install this product. I just had a hard time making sure this product would stay on the joists. It tends to chip when you cut to seal the corners where the joists attach to the bezel or block. Otherwise if you just wrap this tape around the full length of the joist it will hold up fine. But even so, the bottom begins to ripple and loosen. Needs more stickiness.

Although there are some minor issues with this tape firmware which is Wimpy1. Thinner than expected. , Wimpy, has the feel and texture of Deck Seaming Tape.2. I was very impressed with this product. I used it to cover the tops of my joists on a deck that I was waterproofing. It was easy to work with and has held up well. I noticed the corners lifted up a bit, but they didn't lift past the tips. The only problem is that it is covered with an obtrusive pattern (product logo, etc.). It's very very sticky when applied and I found that using a hard rubber roller made it stick better after applying it to the tops of the joists in long strips. Why only 3 stars? - This tape did not perform well on pressure treated wood in my cool/humid climate (less than 50 F / 25 C Pacific Northwest). Grace's literature claims it's good on any surface up to 25F. My experience is that Grace marketers exaggerate. Installation tips that worked for me - I kept the rolls indoors (room temperature) until ready to use.
