Description of 🚲 Panaracer GravelKing SK 700x28C Knobby Tread Tire - Black/Brown RF728-GKSK-D

A high performance knobby tire designed to take on rougher riding terrain with its aggressive side knobs and performs well through a wide range of inflation levels. ZSG (Zero Slip Grip) natural rubber compound provides consistent performance through a wide range of temperatures and wears well. 126tpi Advanced Extra Alpha casing performs well through a wide psi range, minimizes rolling resistance, TLC (tubeless compatible) for up to 60 PSI/70 PSI Tubed. AX technology uses extremely narrow cord which is weaved at a super high density into the casing for lightness and flexibility. This increased density improves resistance to cuts and abrasions. For gravel, dirt, rough and smooth pavement – like the first GravelKings, now with more color options!. Sport type: Cycling.

Finally the road grip

I ride my road bike on a lot of different surfaces, this tire is great for that kind of riding. Great grip, very fast for a grip!

Comfortable, fast, gravel-ready.

Install them on my road bike and bingo I have gravel bikes :) Of course it's not the 'real thing' but so far they transform my bikes. I can ride gravel without any problems and comfortably. It's 60 psi here. My aluminum bike isn't the most forgiving, but no problem. New life for old bikes.

Great gravel bike tire

I converted my wife's 15 year old triathlon bike into a commuter/gravel bike and these tires have greatly improved the ride comfort compared to the 18mm race tires previously fitted. I was worried they wouldn't fit because the geometry of this bike is very tight. You can see that there is only about a millimeter of space between the tire and the derailleur clamp. There is more than enough clearance around the brakes, and the wheels can be removed or installed by flipping the caliper lever.

Cons
  • Definitely bad product

From Ultrasport 25 to Gravel King. Definitely better on hard ground and gravel. Lost a bit of speed but not very noticeable if you're not careful. It shines when cornering at a decent speed. Bike is Synapse 58 carbon, fits snugly but I would try 30 if available. Made in Japan so I believe in quality control. Durability? Time will tell in a few hundred kilometers. Will definitely update and edit this if anything goes wrong.
