I love these things. I have the same item from Yakamoz. They do their job, but the Greenlees do it better! They are tapered at the top and clean shavings much better than others. I cut 1/2" aluminum and 1/4" steel with no problem. They work better in my impact wrench than in a drill. The punch can be a bit slower than a drill and have better torque at low speeds.
with a small DeWalt Impact Wrench. For steel I started with a hex to square shank adapter using a square shank adapter available from several places. Conventional faucets are cheaper when they break. Using a tap and a hex to square tap adapter seems to be the best value for steel.
Drilling and tapping in one operation. What could be easier? I needed to cut 5/16 holes in 1/2" aluminum. I drilled smaller pilot holes with a drill press to make sure the holes were square, then put the DTAP in a cordless drill. I have a good tapping/ Used thread lubricant and DTAP cut very nice clean easy threads in a very short time Love this tool A bit pricey but worth the money in my opinion I would recommend drilling a pilot hole in something thicker than sheet metal to get the threads…
