Good strong screws.

Make a junior (low) loft 4 feet high, we have low ceilings. 8x8 feet wide and long. I used these screws for the frame as I have back and neck problems and it's easier to use a drill than hammer thick wood. There is no need to drill pilot holes if you work slowly at first.

Pros
  • Use GRK Bit T-25
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Durable, minimal risk of head protruding or breaking off

I use GRK screws when I can (that is, when they are right for the application and the size I need is available ). They're hardened so they won't twist under torque and the heads won't slip out (and then loosen) like some other screws (even with Torx heads). They're not indestructible, but seem to be more durable than Swan Secure, GripRite, and other brands I've tried. It works as intended for drilling _closer_ to the edge without splitting the wood than other screws (by design) but it has its…

Necessary screws for the floating wall.

Construction screws I used to build the shop wall in the garage. In South Dakota, you must suspend the wall from the ceiling by drilling rebar through the floor slab and floor panels to allow for expansion and compression. I used one screw for each odd bar, with regular screws for even bars. This is called a "floating wall".

  • Pretty package

High-quality and durable screw for the most demanding work.

These strong construction screws are great when absolute holding power is required. GRK makes high quality screws and this design is great. I recently hung a Β£200 mirror with a heavy oak frame for the mirror and picture. the mirror was 48 inches wide and 72 inches; high. All that was needed were two GRK bolts attached along the top of the frame. I used decorative screws on the bottom of the frame to keep the mirror flush with the wall (and because the decorative screws are easier to hide).

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

Fixed tape zip

I have no idea the 'structural' strength of these items as I'm not sure which test actually proves their strength. But in the field it seems to be a very well made and easy to use shutter. I've ridden about 50-60 3 1/8" discs and none have even suggested taking the head off. They are very easy to work with in pressure treated 2x or 4x. Due to their composition (hardened steel). They have those Strength of a nail and the usefulness of a screw, but not ceramic coated screws which, under the right
