    Be careful with natural stone

    This works well if you are not happy with the grout color. In my case I laid a multicolored (Indian) slate with Mapei Pearl Gray grout. For some reason the mortar had set, too light in my opinion, probably due to the porosity of the slate. Although I applied a reinforcement/sealant to the surface of the slate before grouting, I intentionally left the edges smooth for better adhesion to the grout. In any case.
