Works as advertised

I use this relay with my Insteon wifi switches, it is connected to my water heater. So when I call the water heater, the water heater stays on for the set number of minutes. It has been working great for over a year now and is saving me money. The relay controls a 40A contactor.

Great for my needs

I bought this to run a well water purification fan after our well pump was shut off to continue removing acid gas. It worked great once I hooked it up properly. The fountain pump kits are included, the fan is turned on via the trigger connector once the fountain pump starts. This allows the fan to keep running for the time I selected on the relay. This is a copy of a Macromatic te-8816U and you can find a great YouTube video (SQVUoIkKIBA) showing the wiring and working examples.

The most useful little timer.

I cannot say enough good things about this device. As 12V is the lowest value of its input voltage I wasn't sure how it would perform in an automotive application but as it turns out it's happy down to 10V and below. It gets a little warm during operation, so don't connect the cable. This can drain the battery, but as a shutdown timer killing its own energy, that's fine. (Program E, with some diodes to make it turn on first.) All programs are useful too, I'll leave a few of these for general…
