Not very accurate. - Turbocharger and compressor parts

85-105 is wrong. The pipe is well below 85 but the switch won't turn on. Maybe around 70 it will be activated. So in a hot attic, my pump rarely turns on. I had to unhook and just turn on the timer on the pump. I had a 95-115 model that I returned because it wouldn't turn off until the 130. It was likely reconnected this fall.

Didn't work for me at 120° target temperature

I put one of them in the hot water circuit return. In particular, I placed a short piece of brass tubing to create a better thermal connection to this block compared to the PEX I was working with. Tested The hot water unit worked at the stated temperature but not at the recommended hot water temperature of 120°C. Instead went with a timer.

Great addition to your hot water circulating system

I can't believe my circulating pump went years without it! Why run a pump when the system already has hot water? This reduced the pump running time by probably 90% for us. We have fully insulated hot water and return which helps and we live in California so temperatures are not extreme so your experience may vary. What a huge saving in pumping time and energy consumption. I calculated that it pays for itself in less than a year. It would be nice if you could adjust the temperature, but that's…

Works as advertised

The thermostat works perfectly. However. The low setting of 85 degrees is not high enough to turn my pump on due to gravity flow in my return line. I have enough gravity flow to keep my hot water lines warm, but not enough to keep them HOT. I disabled this thermal switch and enabled the timer and it works great. I'm actually fine with instant warm water, with a 15 second delay for hot, so I skip the pump most of the time too lol. I guess you could say I've overhauled my system as I don't even…

Inaccurate temperature range

I bought a Grundfos 595444 3/4" clamp-on aquastat controller with a specified heat range of 85-105 degrees Fahrenheit to turn the water heater's circulation pump on and off. . The pipe that the sensor is attached to is made of copper and the temperature at the attachment point is 116 degrees. The regulator does not open at this temperature. I added thermal paste to the fitting and it still does not open and does not turn off the pump. Finally I isolated the controller and still no luck. Haven't

Good aquastat. BUT.

As it is advertised as an addition to a hot water circulating pump I expected its control temperature to be almost universal. NOT SO. The pump was more than 20 times longer than needed to supply hot water to the faucet. My choice in system administration is a user-initiated button. Aquastat should limit the operation of the pump when the pipes were already hot and turn off the pump when it was hot enough. The time required for my pump was only 10 seconds. Keep the tap water hot. At normal flow,

First of all, this item is described as adjustable from 85 to 105 degrees, but it is not. It actually turns on at 85 and off at 105 with a +/- 5-6 degree tolerance on either end. I've been using it to control a hot water circulating pump and I've found that I'd like to lower the "shutdown" temperature by a few degrees, but I can't, causing my pump to run longer than ideal and more pumps hot water back. too cold water, waste of energy. As described this device would be perfect for my needs but…
