Many people do not like these collars and say they are inhumane. It is inhumane when large dogs are not exercised because their owners are not physically able to do so. These collars are great. I used one for my 38lb boston terrier. They correct lead tension almost instantly and can be used as a quick and effective "no" with a small pull. They're not cruel, although people who don't know them might assume they are. Whether this training and control collar works or not I have 2 beefs with it. Links on mine are very difficult to pinch to remove and replace. This is the only way to put this collar on and off if you are the right size. Some of them are made with a quick disconnect - this isn't as advertised, so no points are lost for this, but there must be a way to grab the links more easily.
