I have a few trees around the house with lots of leaves and pine needles. I noticed that after installing these guard rails, my gutters were constantly clogged and the gutters overflowed. The guards set up dams as large leaves and needles accumulated around them instead of being washed into the shells. This is a solid, well made, functional product that does what it is supposed to do. I've replaced the flimsy chain link fences I made myself, which always get clogged with debris very quickly. I also replaced another steel guard I bought from Revain about 3 years ago. As you can see from the photo, one was thin and already slightly rusted (probably galvanized steel, not stainless steel). These gutter filters have been around for years but are by far the highest quality I have seen. Firstly they are stainless steel so they never corrode but also the wire is exceptionally strong and the welds are very strong. Add a stainless steel lid and they're virtually indestructible. In the fall of 2018 I installed new 6" gutters with 4" downspouts that transition to 4" plain wall solid white PVC piping that runs underground. Due to a large shipment of maple tree "helicopters" and some brief spring rains earlier this year, the PVC pipes became clogged and it was expensive to clean the seven underground PVC pipes.
