I'm sure they will work well in some applications but for me the setup with standard mountain/suburb bars was a joke. The mechanism it relies on is very intricate. And if you miss, you're done, after that everything is smooth. Maybe it's my incompetence, maybe. But after 20+ years in an industry that requires mechanical knowledge and dexterity, I felt qualified.

I had a fairly large mirror, but it really stood out over the steering wheel. I've seen it and tried it. Works perfectly, clear and without vibrations. I prefer an end mirror to other types. I like this model because it sits about 5 or 6 inches below the handlebars. Your hand won't block it like a straight mirror.
