I wanted a slow cooker that could sear a piece of meat before slow cooking it on the stove. That fits the bill. An added feature is that the inner container is metal, not ceramic, and moves from the slow cooker to the fridge for storage. I gave it 4 stars because the outer shell seems to be made out of a lighter material and because the lid needs to wobble a bit to feel right when cooking.

I love this lightweight multi cooker that can be moved from the stove top where I can sear meat right to the kitchen appliance. It's also a breeze to wash. It said it was dishwasher safe, and it appeared to be. But now I'm having a little problem getting the lid tight. I bought this multi-cooker a few months ago and yesterday decided to use it for the first time. The lid doesn't fit properly. He's really going to fall into the pan. Always choose a metal insert. Saves time (and cleanup) when searing meat or cooking on the stove before putting it in the slow cooker. This model is perfect for that! What I don't like about this particular model is that the handles on the sides of the pot are made of the same metal and not plastic or silicone. My latest Farberware slow cooker had large handles that I could easily lift with my bare hands to remove the pot. But honestly, the price for this Hamilton Beach hotel couldn't be…
