Just as good but cheaper

I bought these to go with my cast iron pans. I wasn't sure if they would work because they weren't a well known brand but thought I'd give it a try as they are a lot cheaper. They work just as well as naming groups, but are a lot cheaper.

No more boo-boo - kitchen and table linens

I recently bought my first cast iron skillet and apparently the learning curve of not touching the skillet is ANYWHERE higher than I would like. So, to avoid third degree burns at dinner, I bought them. They fit my pan perfectly and take almost all of the heat out of the equation. No more boo boo.

DO NOT BUY this non heat resistant material

These pens are not heat resistant at all. We cooked in a cast iron skillet over medium heat. At first they got very hot and when we tried to take them off they completely dissolved because they were burned. No photos were taken because the cremated remains had caused a mess and my first job was to clean up the mess. DO NOT use this non-heat resistant material.

Makes using cast iron pans easier

They work great and fit well. I think it's difficult to make sleeves that fit all pots without dangling a bit on some. One of them got a little "crispy" at the bottom and fell apart where there is a small hole. I left it on while using the skillet. It's difficult to put a silicone sleeve on a cast iron skillet when it's already hot. I would be happy if it was a little more heat resistant.

Not suitable - too big and almost ALWAYS slips

Keeps heat perfectly! But the biggest problem is that it is very slippery! I mean it slides off the pots and comes off! I'm not sure if others are having similar problems. But this is definitely not a product you can buy! I mean, what's the use of a product if you're going to burn your hands anyway! Literally! piss off! The design needs to be changed! I'm only leaving it because I'm going to be very careful to hold the pans, like in laboratory test tubes! I'm only happy with the price.
