It's perfect for API tubes

Although the API basic test kit has space to store tubes, it's a bit awkward to use for multiple tests, so I saw this product and ordered it. It arrived today, I will order more. That's exactly what the doctor ordered. 6 holders for working with test tubes and 6 posts for drying test tubes after washing. Perfect design and high-quality workmanship. Worth the money guys. This is sure to be your third hand and the best part is that it looks great.

Pros
  • Easy to set up
Cons
  • No power

Good quality but design

Pros: Good build quality and nice clothespins. Cons: The double row design is annoying. It should be one line as you will usually have more than 3 tests and if you do these regularly you will likely have a consistent pattern or order of tests. To do this, it is better to use a series and conveniently compare them with a color chart. As this is for a typical test kit and tubes, there should also be space to store tube caps in a future release. If it's for testing an aquarium, then why is theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Only available in white

I need a redesigned version of this

It would be 5 stars if redesigned. The test tube drying sticks are too short so I use them to dry the cap instead. If they were 3mm apart they would dry well. It's not the intended goal, but the intended goal doesn't work as the water simply gets trapped in the pipe since it doesn't rise. I dry my tubes by placing them upside down in the tube holder, but at an angle so they only reach the middle shelf. That way there is an air gap for the water to escape while still being reasonably safe asโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Not sure

Fish and aquatic animals require redesign

Great looking item. Fits perfectly. The only thing others have pointed out is that the tube dryer rods are too short making them unusable. The posts should be made higher to hang the test tubes over the base to allow them to dry. Therefore 3 1/2 STARS. EDIT: Since the dry posts are too short, I drilled holes around each post to give the water room to escape so the pipes can dry between tests. I also added small rubber ribs to the bottom of the base to create space between the bottom of the test

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Some bugs

Drying racks too short for proper hose drying, otherwise perfect

Testing aquarium water after too many hoses had tipped over was made much easier with this product. The holes are perfect for API vials and the acrylic looks and performs well when constantly wet (as you would expect from acrylic). However, the dry sticks are too short to be effective. Yes, they hold the pipes upside down and vertical. However, corresponding tube drying racks must be longer than the tubes themselves. Because they are too short, the tubes cannot dry completely as the drops stayโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Nothing here

Useful with some caveats

I really liked the sleek look. I have seen other 3D printers in very crude colors so when I saw this one I loved it! But I'm not happy with him. As mentioned, the racks aren't long enough to properly dry the tubes, and the racks are too close together that I sometimes find them to be clamped together and not dry properly between them. The holes are the perfect size for the tubes which was excellent as I have cats and I don't stand directly in front of them waiting for a nitrate test to confirm.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Protection

Almost perfect after restyling, needs some work.

This is a great little test tube rack perfect for API aquarium tubes. Many previous reviews have mentioned that drying racks are useless as the older design didn't allow airflow into the inverted tubes to dry them. This new design appears to have added a riser on one side of the uprights to elevate the tubes above the base to allow airflow. But as some other reviewers have also pointed out, the six offset positions aren't in the best configuration. It would be nice to have a straight line ofโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Older model

Good product, with one big flaw.

This product was purchased after being spilled several times and the vial breaking on impact. It holds API test tubes perfectly for testing, no complaints. However, as has been pointed out by many, the dry area of the rack is horribly constructed and basically useless. The pins are too short and only hold the inverted tube in place. Since the bottom of the tube lies completely on the ground, it forms a seal and no water can escape from the inside of the tube. I place a folded piece of paperโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Thin
