I am a size 9. Shoe size 5-9 is not a real size 9. Oh my god. Right out of the box they were so tight my toes actually hurt. Forget after washing and drying. All ok for the price but the quality is not very good. I bought 6 pairs of Fruit of the Loom socks in addition to these socks for my 12 year old girl who wears size 5 shoes. Both companies' socks were supposed to be the same size, but the Hanes socks were much larger and the ankle elastic was looser. The comfort of the floor was not up to scratch either. My girlfriend only uses it when there are no clean socks left. I had to buy two packs of Fruit of the Loom socks.

I've been wearing Hanes Cotton socks on court for many years. You were perfect. All cotton and softly lined for a secure, non-slip fit. Finally solved the problem of missing pairs and cut the time to sort socks by 75% for a family of 4! Very good (not great) quality, but good enough.
